I am forever ambitious in making my classes feel accessible. With over 15 years of teaching experience, guiding people through Dance, Yoga and Creative Movement Practices in a wide variety of settings, I am a movement enthusiast who has a purposeful yet intuitive style of teaching.

A little bit about my teaching style.

Passionate about inclusion just as much as I am about evoking a sense of creativity, I encourage a feeling of joy through movement for everyone that finds themselves working with me.

Holding a degree in contemporary dance studies, multiple yoga teaching qualifications, a PGCE in secondary education and most recently a certificate in Reiki Energy work, my interests are varied yet all connected through a passion for working with, and supporting others through embodiment and wellbeing. I have also recently returned back to University to study Dance Movement Psychotherapy at the University of Roehampton.

I hope you find all you need to know here on my website but if not, please do get in touch.

YOGA.

Experienced in delivering Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Yoga Nidra and Restorative yoga classes in group settings, I also teach corporate yoga, online classes and on a private 1:1 basis. All classes are led with care and sensitivity towards the natural anatomy of the body and individual needs.

“ Josie has the most calming and loving energy that comes through in the way that she teaches. Anyone that takes a class with Josie leaves feeling a little bit warmer inside than before.”

Katie Robertson, Founder of Hotpod Yoga Worthing.

DANCE.

A knowledgeable and skilled community dance artist, some of my most recent teaching projects include working with South East Dance, Rambert Dance Company, Dance Umbrella, Parable Dance and The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology.

“ Josie facilitates dance with such wonderful passion that is clearly underpinned by a wealth of experience in dance technique and somatic practices. She strikes a great balance of teaching inspiring material, whilst also giving space for individual creative expression.”

Bethan Peters, Creative Learning Producer at Dance Umbrella

As a qualified secondary school teacher, with hands on involvement in pastoral care and Head of Department experience, I have a hunger to make yoga and mindfulness more accessible in all areas of education.
